I started dancing at age 3 and grew up dancing competitively in the Kansas City area. I've trained in a variety of styles, but my favorites have always been jazz and contemporary! I taught dance classes throughout college, but missed the performance side of the dance world. After school, I returned to KC and spent three amazing seasons dancing as a member of the Chiefs Cheerleaders.
I am newly-graduated physical therapist, specializing in pelvic floor physical therapy! Outside of working and teaching, I enjoy traveling, finding good food and coffee in KC, play dates with my chocolate lab puppy, Bennie, and listening to lots of John Mayer.

“I love everything about Dance Fit Flow! There is too much to list! I just love seeing so many “former” dancers absolutely light up during class. I love that no matter how long it’s been since you last danced, you instantly feel at home when you walk into class. Once a dancer, always a dancer! Meeting new people and making new friends as adults is so hard sometimes, but DFF brings so many people together everyday! DFF has been so amazing for my personal health- mentally, physically, and emotionally- since day one!”

“I love all the positive energy each client brings in the studio every Saturday morning. Nothing can beat teaching a class with dancers who love what they are doing and are so excited to learn and be active!”
Intro to Tap - A great way to get introduced to the world of tap or maybe get back into those tap shoes and get your feet moving. This class is designed for beginners to learn basic tap sounds, skills, and rhythms and begin to put them together. This class is laid back, lots of fun, and an encouraging learning environment.
I started dancing when I was 4 and grew up training in all styles of dance such as jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, and contemporary. I have loved getting to grow in every style of dance, but tap has always been one of my favorites. I was lucky to get to train in tap and precision dance with the Radio City Rockettes for 3 summers during their summer intensive program. I danced through college and was lucky to get to share this love and knowledge with others as I began teaching during college. I have continued teaching back home in Kansas City and am currently dancing my rookie season as a Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleader.
Outside of dancing and fitness instruction, I am a Registered Nurse working in the NICU at Children's Mercy. I love getting to be a part of helping people and families grow, whether it be at the hospital, the dance studio or fitness studio.

I started off as a depressed 250-pound student in a fitness class with the desire to get better. In the process, I had an urge, a desire to help others feel better about themselves. When it comes to dance... I had no dance background. but watched music videos, watched people dance at the corner bodega and learned the art of dance. Fast Forward almost 25 years and numerous fitness-certifications, I am a dance-fitness instructor who loves every minute. I am still learning but this time by the amazing women at Dance Fit Flow.
I am a wife and a mother of 3. My son Isaac is 20, Daughter Aleyana is 17 and my youngest Vanessa is 11. We have 4 dogs, 1 cat, and 2 birds. My family should own a zoo. Meraki Artistry is the name of my business. I am a photographer, Makeup Artist and Esthetician. Yes, I do it all. I have currently started baking cakes as my hobby. Overall what makes me happy is making those around me happy. I love seeing smiles on faces. My fave scripture of all time is 2 Samuel 22: 2,3. In these verses King David was speaking to Jehovah God in song. " Jehovah is my crag and my stronghold and the one who rescues me. My God is my Rock in whom I take refuge." I love this scripture because it has helped me in my darkest moments. What makes me , me? I consider myself to be loving and caring but also a little spicy when need be.

One of my most impactful experiences was spending the summer in NYC at American Ballet Theatre summer intensive in 2011 and 2012.
